Stairs for Breakfast

Stairs for Breakfast

We just wanna cut straight to the chase here – our first workout at Mosaic Stadium was EPIC.. The support was overwhelming – this was the biggest turnout we’ve had so far and the workout did not disappoint. A quick shout out to everyone who came out and crushed those stairs this morning – that shit was HARD and you guys crushed it.  HIT ME WITH A BOOM. read more

Call Me Maybe?

ADD ME MAYBE?

As usual November Project Queen City work outs are unknown to the tribe. Sometimes we get a suggestion [and include it] or asked if running is involved [and will let one know] but 99% of the time it’s a complete surprise [even to us].

Today’s workout was exactly that – not only did David give out his home phone number, Wayne personally called Breanne and thanked her for showing up instead of texting, Kate recruited two runner’s mid workout, Madison recruited the most newbies, & Kyle and Gord joined us for the first time read more

Sunrise 6ix in the 306

Sunrise 6ix in the 306

On Wednesday, we hit a new PR for our Sunrise 6ix attendance. In case you didn’t know, Sunrise Six is known as our PR day. What is a PR day you ask? Personal Record. A day to look at your past accomplishments, set a new goal, then CRUSH it. Roughly 50 Wednesday warriors showed up to crush their goals! There is so many awesome people and smiling faces that it makes crushing goals that much more fun. Thank you to everyone for pushing each other. Can’t wait to set more PRs. read more

Slidin’ into July

NPQC Slidin’ into July

First things first – Happy Fourth of July to our November Project tribes in the USA! I’m sure the July 5th early morning NP workout was a bit of a battle for some of you after the Independence Day celebrations. We slid into July in a BIG way in the Queen City this morning. Our workout included a slip n’ slide, water balloons, some running, and a whole lotta fun. We had a circuit of running the square, squats, ABC sit-ups and the option between burpees or hittin’ the slip n slide. We might have went a little heavy on the dish soap for extra slipperyness (I know that’s not a real word), but I bet everyone smelled fricken great for the rest of the day. Then we had a decent little breakfast crew at A&W after. Just a great way to kick off the day.

Big shout out to the people that helped set up and take down the slip n slide. It was so awesome seeing our tribe say “f*ck it, its 6AM and I don’t care if I get wet and soapy, I’m gonna hit this slip n slide”. Like Lorraine Ates – she wound up and hit that slip n slide with a smile on her face. I even saw Deb Smith drill @courtlynf in the back with a water balloon. Great work Deb, you are delightful. Speaking of Lorraine – does anyone know where @DesireeAtes might be? Do we need to put a missing persons ad on some milk cartons? She verballed, but I must have missed her. Oh, and you’re not off the hook either @MaaiaGeis and @Willem.Bolen – where you at? Just kidding, we just love you guys and wanted you to be there :). It seems like Regina always has some good stuff going on throughout the summer months. The Freedom Run, the Canada 150 long weekend celebrations, Rider games, etc – just to name a few. The Queen City is bumpin’. If you know of any events that you want announced to our NP tribe – just slip n slide into our DM’s on Instagram or Facebook and we’ll let the tribe know! This morning was fun AF. So much fun that I’m surprised the security guard didn’t join in with us. I think he must have forgot his speedo. Ask me 3 months ago and I would have never envisioned that I’d be soaking wet, full of soap, and making new friends at 6AM on a Wednesday morning in July. I guess that’s why November Project is so awesome. It takes us out of our comfort zone and into a new realm of excitement and fun. Please, invite a few of your pals for next Wednesday. You guys continue to show up and every week seems to be better than the last.  Regina, you guys rock. Until next time. Instagram: @novemberprojectqueencity Facebook: November Project Queen City

We Came, We Saw, We Worked Out

November Project Queen City  |  June 28, 2017

With November Project being a relatively new crusade in the Queen City, we stumble upon “firsts” for our tribe every single week – each one as exciting as the last.  This week we had our first (pre) Canada Day workout and ohhh buddddy it was a banger. We celebrated prematurely Canada’s 150th anniversary with a Canada 150 workout. 150 lunges, 150 mountain climbers, 150 pushups, and 150 bicycle crunches – all while our other partners were either running to the lake or banging off sets of stairs.  More than 75 awesome people showed up, shirts were tagged, hugs were given, and a workout was CRUSHED. Can I get a F*CK YEAH?What a way to start the day. November Project Queen City embodies inclusivity, positivity, and building each other up. Coincidentally, these are all reasons why we celebrate Canada as the greatest country on earth (sorry fellow NP tribes, but you know its true).   read more
