November Project Queen City | June 28, 2017
With November Project being a relatively new crusade in the Queen City, we stumble upon “firsts” for our tribe every single week – each one as exciting as the last. This week we had our first (pre) Canada Day workout and ohhh buddddy it was a banger. We celebrated prematurely Canada’s 150th anniversary with a Canada 150 workout. 150 lunges, 150 mountain climbers, 150 pushups, and 150 bicycle crunches – all while our other partners were either running to the lake or banging off sets of stairs. More than 75 awesome people showed up, shirts were tagged, hugs were given, and a workout was CRUSHED. Can I get a F*CK YEAH?What a way to start the day. November Project Queen City embodies inclusivity, positivity, and building each other up. Coincidentally, these are all reasons why we celebrate Canada as the greatest country on earth (sorry fellow NP tribes, but you know its true).
With Canada’s 150th anniversary looming, we’re going to hear all about the history of Canada and how we got to this point. Having said that, I’d like to take the opportunity to talk about the history of November Project Queen City and how we got to this point. At 6 AM on February 15th, our 3 crazy tribe leaders (along with the incredible @lilshivvs) decided to take their workout to the Legislative Building in Regina. It was -25°C that morning. WTF? (For our American friends… -25°C is f**king cold). After this, they started spreading the word for “Queen City Fit” via word of mouth, Instagram, Facebook, etc. (get @courtlynf to post something on insta and guaranteed that shit will blow UP). Each and every Wednesday more and more people started showing up to Queen City Fit. On May 11th, we had a visit from a NP leader and we were pledged as an official November Project city and, BOOM, November Project Queen City was legitimately born. NP Queen City is the result of the amazing people that #justshowup every Wednesday morning to workout – the people that bring their smiles and positive attitudes and just get after it. Thank you to everyone that comes out – we’re all part of this together!
The Breakfast Club. After NP this morning we went to A&W for breakfast. Wow, best deal for breakfast in town! It’s like 5 bucks for the classic breakfast. And so quick! If you find a better deal than this in town, then I will give you 5 bucks. This is the official post NP breakfast spot. There were about 10 of us this morning. We had some great conversation; smashed an awesome breakfast, and everyone laughed at all my hilarious jokes. This breakfast club makes me enjoy November Project even more. Come and join next Wednesday! A&W South Albert at 6:43 AM. I bet you’ll probably even find some coupons in your mail periodically.
#grassrootsgear – If you didn’t get your gear tagged last week then bring your ridiculous shirts again next week for tagging!

Freedom Run – Celebrate Canada Day with the 150 people running in the Freedom Run on July 1st. Once again, hit up @ashivvs or @asiebz for details. Fireworks at Wascana as per usual.
This NP Queen City crew is so awesome. You guys keep me smiling until next Wednesday. Lets recruit more friends, family, strangers, coworkers, gym bros, security guards, etc. for next week! The more the merrier – why not 100 next week? Lets do it. Wishing everyone a happy Canada Day and an amazing long weekend! Regina, you guys rock.

Until next time.
