April showers bring May flowers. I don’t know, isn’t that kind of obvious. Obvious that I would start today’s blog with this rhyme and the rhyme itself. Of course moisture and warmer weather will allow flowers to bloom. I guess it’s a catchy little phrase and I guess it’s one way to dismiss/excuse those wet April days. But at November Project, where we meet all 12monthss of the year as our name so clearly indicates, we don’t need to find reasons to dismiss the weather. We embrace the weather. Whether it be -30, windy, icy, blizzardy or showers in April – this tribe shows up!
Today, our April shower/flurry, brought brightly coloured humans to the downtown core, glittering tree lights, sprints around a melted skating rink (soon to be wading pool that I am sure we’ll take advantage of one morning), soggy cards to dictate your exercise (squat jumps, pushups, burpees, v-sit crunches or hoisty-Js), and a moment to catch a snowflake on your tongue. If you didn’t leave this morning feeling all warm and fuzzy you didn’t do this morning right!
What else will April bring for you? Set some goals or continue working towards a big goal by setting some little targets you can chase down this month and then share that with others. The tribe is here to support you and hold you accountable. Together we are stronger, together we challenge each other to be stronger, to push a little harder, to believe in ourselves a little more, and to move beyond the barriers we set in front on ourselves.
