A new year followed by a solid break

Happy New Year!

It was SO nice seeing you all this morning. I really missed being part of us while I was home, in Toronto, over the holidays. And I also missed that hill. I know. But I did.

I hope you had a lovely break and got some good family + friend time in…. and some R&R.

This was my first holiday break home in over two years. Remember how the pandy kept us all apart?

It was nice seeing my family and friends and having our usual lively Christmas and holiday week meals (isn’t food the best part of that week?!). Here’s a pic of our Christmas dinner- in this photo is a longstanding circle of love, family, and friendship made up of my family and family friends who we’ve known since my Mom was pregnant with me. Our two families have celebrated most holidays for yeah, as long as I can ever remember. My lifetime!! It’s fun to see how we’ve all grown up and continued to grow together. Some of us live away and some of us have returned home to Toronto after many years. We always come together though.

I also happened to make it to my niece’s first birthday party. I NEVER make it home for the kids’ birthday parties. That was special to be there and be part of it all.

I hope you also had some special moments with your family and friends. Please tell me about it! I’d love to hear.

Nice work out there today. See ya next week!
