Hello Friends! In case we haven’t yet met, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Eric and I’m the guest co-lead for the next couple of weeks while Lazina takes a much-deserved trip to somewhere warm. I’ll be helping Rob lead workouts and may even make a few blog posts here and there while I’m at it.
I’m so excited to be taking on this interim role! I’ve been coming to November Project since January 2018 and it’s been such a positive influence on my life. More to come on that in an upcoming post. For now though, here’s five quick facts about me:
1. I’ve lived in Edmonton my whole life and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. One of my biggest passions is helping make Edmonton a better place in any small way I can. I love the community here, and the NP community is a huge part of that.
2. My favourite food/drink is milk (preferably chocolate milk). I drink milk after every NP workout and always keep some stored in the refrigerator at work.
3. My favourite workout is anything with stairs.
4. I’m a huge CFL fan. I go to as many Elks games as I can and when possible, I like to travel to other cities to watch football games. Wednesday morning workouts at Commonwealth are extra special to me, not just because it’s stairs (see #3), but because it’s at the home of the Elks.
5. Prior to coming to NP, I never did anything athletic. Growing up, I always came last in gym class. I hesitated coming to NP for several years because I didn’t think I could keep up but when I finally did show up I felt welcomed by this community. It was very empowering and I was hooked. Fitness has now become a big part of my life.
See you at Walterdale Hill on Friday!
Eric
