Oath of non-conformity – Montréal July 19th, 2017

I promise not to eat prepared foods that have more than 6 ingredients

Y’all good?

These were the words shared by Montréal tribe members this morning during the bounce…We are weird, we are loud, we choose to be different and we all have our reasons to be here every week at 6:29am. Let’s make a difference!!! The tribe is strong in Montréal.

While the start of summer holiday season that has greatly evacuated most Montrealers out of town might have influenced the size of the tribe this week… it was as loud as any other week.

Today two new badass tribe members Valérie and Céline (Redsie) were my co-leads. What a group of girls!!! They helped erect one hell of a workout this week. Being card-carrying geniuses themselves, they chose to use the playing cards as their weapon of choice and make everyone in the tribe sweat it out. Hearts meant running, Spades = burpees. Diamonds translated into jumping jacks and Clubs were sit-ups. Montreal gets stupid humid in the summer and hence humidity set in this morning and also helped the girls make the beads of sweat come down our faces. They were all smiles looking at us drying ourselves off with our shirt sleeves.

The workout finished off with an old town alleyway Game of Happy. Real fun wall sit drill to the tune of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. A unique and colourful Montreal moment full of smiles and laughter. A true moment we must find to repeat again come the coming weeks.

Thanks again to all for coming and braving the humidity. You found a way to make my Wednesday my favourite day of the week again. I hope it was yours too. Can’t wait to see you again next week. BTW, it’s PR week next week… so rest those legs.
