Race Day the Horsing Around Way (IND)

We laughed a few laughs, cried a few cries (or was it just raining? . . . or did we just have a bad day as young superstar wide receivers who get beat up by kicker practice nets? https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer/status/780132865556242432/photo/1 ), jockeyed a few invisible horses, and burpee’d a few burpees.  It was another solid Race Day.

I always wonder what newbies are thinking after showing up for the first time and being hit with the Race Day workout, but I’m never disappointed in the effort they crank out.  Today was no exception.  We had four actual newbies and a handful of Race Day first timers.  Props to you guys for just killing it out there!  Also, props to the folks who have been doublin’ (Dublin) lately; Adam was a notable new Dubliner today, channeling his Irish roots and taking on the Double Race Day Challenge!

Workout:

Your typical up-n-over, 50 sit-ups, up-n-over, 50 push-ups, u-n-o, 50 mountain climbers, u-n-o, 25 burpees, all capped off with one final up-n-over.  The tunnelage at the end of both sessions was a sweet cherry on top, and the help by others for others was over-the-top today!dsc_0871

Notes:

  • Record your Race Day times on the tracker: https://tracking.november-project.com/events/3782
  • We’re hosting a pop-up workout on the Monon Trail up in BRip Saturday, Oct 8th, at 4p!  We’ll be teaming up with the Bluemile running store up there; they’ll be offering some discounts on gear, and we’ll be offering some discounts (that is to say, charging nothing as usual) on a workout.  Beers and good times after!
  • Come dolled up in your best lederhosen and pantyhosen and beer stein holding hands next week; we’ll be celebrating Oktoberfest the olde fashioned way, which is of course through free morning workouts held at the Indiana War Memorial.  Very traditional.
  • Friday’s workout will be on the north end of the canal; #BeThereOrBeSquare.
  • Thanks a bunch to the paint crew over there tagging shirts left and right, in the rain, uphill both ways!
  • Shout out to Sarah Myer, the latest more than deserving Positivity Award recipient.  Thanks for always #justshowup . . . ing, Sarah!dsc_0914

Have a superb week!!!!
