What Up Keloooowwwwnnns?
My name is Nadim and I’m one of the leaders of November Project Canada (Edmonton). I consider Roz one of my closest friends for the following reasons: I have met her in-person twice; she sometimes responds to my texts; we are Facebook friends.
Over here, we write a blog after each workout. Sometimes we talk about the workout we did that day, sometimes we vlog, and sometimes they’re complete nonsense. There’s a good chance that only 2 people watch or read these, but we do them anyways, because we’re old school. I’ve never been to Kelowna because my bank doesn’t have your currency and I don’t speak your language. I probably wouldn’t get past customs anyways. So for this blog, I can only write about what I know of you all from the socials… So here we go…
You have this awesome kid named Jordan who can’t tie his laces so he rocks velcro straps. I point this out because I’m jealous. And if we’re being honest (honesty is the best policy), he could probably put his shoes on faster than anyone else in the NP world. Unfortunately, he’s too young for Strava, so it doesn’t count and we’ll never know if anyone else on the planet is faster.
Over here in Canada, you are the envy of an entire nation with your great weather year-round. And I’m usually ok with the freezing temperatures we have over here, until I check out your group photo… which has so many reminders of how great Kelowna is with all those Heat shirts. By the way, is that the new Kelowna tag? What happened to the Sails tag? Is that the new #grassrootsgear?
The other thing I’ve noticed about your tribe is that is that there’s a must use a ton of hairspray to get their pony tails to stick straight up. That trend hasn’t caught on here or anywhere quite yet, but I’ve been told before that Kelowna is ahead of it’s time. I might have to try this new do, but I have black hair, and I’m not sure if it will have the same effect.
It’s fair to say that NP Kelowna is my favourite BC tribe whose name doesn’t start with a V. This has been fun. We should do it again.
Find the Good,
Nadim
