Yup zero fun was had today. I mean look at the photo, everyone is so straight faced, there is no way they were having the best 6am experience out of anyone in the city. Definitely no laughter, definitely no fun, absolutely no good workout, and certainly no super cool dragon boat racing – it was just a regular day…so normal…

Ok who am I kidding this morning was fucking awesome!! Moving through the workout with some teams let everyone connect and get to know each other, the scalable workout made it hard enough for everyone, the burn-out/race got everyone cheering, and the dragon boating was such an experience. Thank you to everyone that chose to #JustShowUp. Days like today take a little bit of extra effort but they are so so so worth it. Special thanks to the EDBRC who were willing to share their love of dragon boats and community with ours. They believe in what November Project stands for and were willing to support people gaining an experience that very few in the city get to have. I’ve lived in Edmonton for almost all my life and I’ve done this twice – truly a privilege and I am so grateful to this group. Additionally HUGE/SPECIAL thanks to Tracey who both participates at NPCan and the EDBRC. Her relationship with the club I believe made today happen and I am extremely thankful because my goodness it was fun!!

Days like this when everything clicks just makes me so happy. Day’s like this makes me love NPCan Monday workouts – you just never know what you’ll get (other than a kickass workout). Days like this are just the best!

Have an amazing evening and we’ll see you on Wednesday.
Keep being awesome,
Rob
