Today we paid tribute to one of our own. Loss is something that effects everyone differently. To know the heartbreak and sadness that comes at seemingly random times throughout our lives – that is something I do not wish on anyone. But what I do wish for everyone is a community that supports you, one that you can lean on in times of triumph, in times of challenge, and in times of need. Today our hearts, our PRs, our backwards caps go out to Sam, her family and friends, and the November Project San Francisco tribe.
November Project, starting off with two crazy cats, has now expanded to thousands of people across North America. But in a world of billions, NP breaks down barriers and I truly believe that from thousands, to hundreds to even just your bounce neighbor, we can all become family. This tight-knit inclusive community IS just that: family. Waking up at 4AM to 12° weather is absolutely brutal. But there is no way in hell that I regret it even for a second – especially when I see all of your smiling, shivering faces
Today we paid tribute to Samantha Dweck. We did as she had always done and what #NP_SF continues to do. We hugged harder. We laughed louder. We raced faster. We bounced higher. We loved bigger and more fully because she is one of us.
We are one tribe. We are strong. We are November Project.
Loving you always and truly,
