It’s ski season in ColoRADo. Yes, while all the rest of the country bears down for a bitter winter ahead, we Coloradans get equally amped & stoked for fun in the snow & pow.
We all share dreams of champagne powder (Trademark: Steamboat Spring, CO), poaching the white room (Trademark: Andrew ‘Dragon Slayer’ Cooley), and getting inverted in an old school huck fest (Trademark: Johnny ‘Middle Name Carl’ Collinson, see image below).
But to reach the apex of gnar shreddability, one must put in the pre-season workload. Enter November Project. It is on our chosen training grounds… Denver’s Capitol Building stairs, the Civic Center Amphitheather’s benches, and hills of the Highlands, that the 5280 tribe trains as one. We jump higher and bound further than our tribes mate next to us, knowing that by pushing ourselves we are in fact pushing each other to be better, stronger, and more extreme.
Big thanks to Maureen and Denver’s own, Love Grown Foods, for providing us with a phenomenal post-workout fueling. Oats, Granola, & Yogurt does a body good. Spread the LOVE by tagging them on your preferred social medium.
Poet, Alli Bell, stepped up to the plate today and delivered a poem that was successful in rhyming the last name of our newest member of the Positivity Award club: Robyn Broker. Well done, congrats, keep it up, stay positive, never stop smiling, race everything, recruit more racers.
Yours, Lieutenant Flanniel
