The bounce

That bounce though. Lets talk about it. When you have the opportunity to visit other cities and tribes, there are some keys thing that you can expect when showing up to a November Project workout. Each one brings its own special vibe and energy, but some things are for sure.

You can expect hugs from strangers, many high fives, an extraordinary number of smiley people all before 7am, an intense, challenging but fun workout, and a BOUNCE.

Bouncing as defined by the Elizabeth MacKenzie dictionary would be: “the act of jumping up and down, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot and creating this wave of excitement and hype, definitely the hype”

So here are the reasons why the BOUNCE is in the top picks of the best moments of the morning.

You get to jump up and down

You get a little warm up- not only from the movement, but because you are also benefiting from the body warmth of the person standing likely closer than what is normally socially appropriate

You create the music, sounds and noise all by yourself and with your mouths

You can bounce along strangers without paying cover aka nightclubs are overrated

You instantly become one voice with 20, 100 or 357 other members

Sets the mood and the vibe for the workout

When you take the time to look around during the bounce the best part is standing alongside people that you would never have met before. You take a couple seconds to have a quick glance and see all the new and familiar faces of your tribe. The man beside you might be from the other side of town and it takes him 49 minutes to get to the workout but now he’s beside you. He’s bouncing beside you. And then you share a hips-in-hug with someone else you didn’t come with, who happens to be someone you figure out shares a mutual friend. You find the connections made at November Project make you feel like the world is really not that big.

So today, you bounced, you sweat, you worked hard, you high fived, you cheered for someone else, or you had the intention to and are just not ready for that yet. That is okay. Someone else beside you is there to encourage you. You don’t always know what’s coming at November Project, but you can always expect a bounce.

One other thing you can also guarantee is that the workout will happen and you will have people to wake up to move with no matter what. And today, Stephen and Fauve made sure of this. Huge shoutout to sub co-leaders this morning who knocked that workout right out of the park. Thank you for making the show go on. Because no matter what, there will always be a November Project workout and you can always count on people to run beside you and hold you accountable. Stephen and Fauve- We wouldn’t be where we are without you. And for all those who showed up- thank you for making it happen, for sharing your morning, your workout and your energy with us.

Here’s to bringing soles together,
