Picture this: A cop, a grounds crew member, and an easily agitated neighbor walk into a group of free fitness freaks. A specific NWA track drops and those fitness freaks bus awll dem foos, break a foot off in dey ass, y generally give ’em the business. That’s what happened this morning . . . MINUS the busting of fools, breaking off of feet in any collective ass, and transacting any sort of B2B or B2C commerce, and PLUS courteously responding to all inquiries concerning our boisterous nature and mobile photography studio. But really, thanks for giving us the green light cop and crew dude, and go back to speaking on behalf of imaginary ‘concerned others’ at town hall meetings, pesky neighbor.
NEW! (IND)

New, new, everybody’s new! That’s how 6:15 felt anyway. Increible (con accento) newbie showing this morning and just solid numbers and attitudes all around! You guys are ridiculous.
Also, no rain yet today, so that’s fucking awesome! Could the end of monsoon season be near? Ask Howard…then he’ll check his weather app the same way you would.
Race Face, Stace Face (IND)

Howard’s Halfway to Halloween Hoedown Hootenanny was all it was cracked up to be: Super, Wild, Salty, Dirty, Grungy, Pretty, Galactic, Ballerific, American, Boozy, Pollinated, Healthy, and Sweaty. It definitely was not uniCorny. Newbies shined, oldies whined (not really; oldies kicked flucking arse supporting the newbies this morning), and on the feastival he created, Howard dined! Gotta love the added motivational incentive of a pump-up-partner during the Race Day ordeal!
Was That The Sun We (Almost) Saw Today? (IND)

Was that the sun we (almost) saw this morning? What do you think? Was 6:15 tougher than 5:28? Was it different once we decided pairing hombres up works better than having them run around solo? Did we emphasize the “fire under your ass” aspect of the workout in explaining it to 6:15 so it would exhaust people? Did you #justshowup to find out the answers to these questions? Are you wondering why this whole thing is written in question form? Does your answer to the #justshowup question answer that last question? Yes…?
Spring Awakening (IND)
HAPPY RACE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Spring has [somewhat] sprung, and so has NP Indy! Dishing out (shhhhhh)irts today, we were worried we’d run out with the solid #raceday numbers that showed, which is a good problem to have. Aside from faster times, greater numbers, more than one person wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts, and less laundry, spring also provides us with a wonderful opportunity to grow our tribe. It’s the time of year where people are craving the outdoors, wanting to get moving again, and most notably looking for sweaty hugs from strangers. Fortunately, we can provide all those things.
Gimme Two Sallies and a Ric Flair; WOO!!! (IND)

All the stars came out this morning. There was Ric Flair and Jessie Meranda and Ric Flair. All of them. All there to support the Big Ten Tournament … in Washington, DC. It’s always about DC; always.

Workout
SUICIDES! A little something new cooked up by Jason Shaw, who oddly I don’t see in any of these pics from this morning.
Fleur-de-Lis, Fitness fo Free (IND)
Happy Race Day (and Mardi Gras too I guess) everyone! Fat Tuesday gave way to Fit Wednesday as racers were up early and in it to win it this morning. We had PRs galore, newbies from all over, and attitudes to inspire even the most ardent Race Day protesters (got ya, Howard)!

Workout
Your typical Race Day buffet: up-n-over, 50 situps, u-n-o, 50 pushups, u-n-o, 50 mtn climbers, u-n-o, 25 burpees (don’t forget ’em; they’re the icing on the cake; it’s a cake made with brawn, power, and might…and love), finish off w a nice cold u-n-o. A thorough ass-kicking.
Love is in the st(Air)s (IND)

We love that YOU love NP! YOU are what drives this thing, what keeps it going, what gets people up early and in shape!
Workout
This one was simple (to tell, not to do): an up-n-over with lunges across the east top platform, burpee-broad-jumps across the west. Boat-holds, valentines-making, and decline pushups at the north platform.
Boyz-(and Girlz)-n-the-Hood(s) (IND)
The boys in the hood may always be hard, but so are the burpees and lunges, maybe harder (at least it feels that way at 6am).
Crew-counting-Colleen was absent today due to “work” in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but 6:15 was the clear winner numbers-wise. But moving right along into February today means that spring is just around the corner, and spring = recruiting season at NP. There’s still hope, 5:28; keep the faith!
The Washing Machine (IND)

This one was fresh. . . fresh to def, fresh linen status, in fact. Shaw hit us up with an original workout coined “The Washing Machine,” and she’s a beaut. We were all newbies for the workout, and we had one oldie we always miss dearly in Macko and one real-life newbie in Brian. Thanks for #justshowup-ing! Weather was decent for January, groups were solid, and Patrick-style hugs were fantastic!
