Something (YEG)

It is days like today where I am extra proud of the community that has grown because of November Project. As leaders, we have NP in the back of our mind at all times. Just ask the people closest to us. They are the ones who have to hear all of the crazy ideas we dream up.  But it is easy to lose sight of how impactful November Project is to so many people. I could go on about people who take trips with us to the #NPSummit every year, or who plan their vacation around tribes they can visit. While that still blows my mind every time, that is not what we’re going to talk about today. We’re talking about everyone who shows up. Whether it is 3 times a week, or every Wednesday, or twice a month, you are making some sort of sacrifice to be there. Whether that is sleeping less, or having to stay at work later, or being the smelly person at the office because you don’t have time to shower, there is something that is motivating you to be there. There is nothing forcing you to come. You show up because you WANT to come. You drop verbals because you WANT to be there. You hug the people because it’s really creepy to stand around and watch 100 people hugging each other. There is something that you have found at November Project that is so important to you, that you need to be there.

  • We all want to be there.
  • We are all making a sacrifice.
  • We all have our something that compels us to show up.

The more you show up, the more you realize this. You’ll also realize that while November Project is so important to you for your something, it is so important to someone else for their something. If you think about this morning, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

So, this weekend, stand tall and be proud of this community that you are part of. You’re making a difference.

News and stuff

Monday we will be at Victoria Park. There is limited parking, so you’ll want to run there from one of the many different places that are nearby.
