The Road to Rio starts here, right here in VB. Today we completed the olympic trials. Some WR’s (World Record) and OR’s (Olympic Records) were set and then broken.
We covered famous olympic events from Relay Races to Long Jumps to a good ole fashioned human Bobsled race.
IMPORTANT: If you have read this far and by read this far I mean (4 sentences and 2 pictures). Great. Keep reading; NEXT WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10th — We will be having our try at the Water Sports and continue with more gymnastic events as the NP_VB Olympic games officially get underway in Rio (Read 36th street at the Oceanfront) (YES, there will be a medal ceremony).
Details concerning parking etc will be rolled out as we get closer to next Wednesday. There is some free street parking a couple blocks away from the oceanfront. NP_VB will bounce at 615AM under the rings of the new outdoor fitness park. Also, I would wear clothing / #grassrootsgear that you don’t mind getting wet (READ: Bathing Suit like clothes). If not, you will probably have a better time if you just close your eyes and picture a Bob Costas special on the upcoming Olympic games.)
CALLING ALL ARTISTS:
Our friends at The North Face are trying out a cool project. They are accepting custom designs from the NP_VB tribe for a special limited run T-Shirt. The end goal is one of our designs will be selected and printed. Everyone in the tribe will get to wear TNF Gear with your design on it!
Here are the Design Guidelines:
Designs to be accepted in JPEG/JPG or PDF format only
Winning design to be screen-printed in single-tone black ink
Area/Location of the screen-print design: centered on front or back of the tee
Area-width: up to 8 inches wide x 8 inches tall
A few designs ideas to get the juices flowing:
-The State of VA
-A Surfboard
-King Neptune
-A cool design with a combination of the State of VA, The American Flag, and a heart, etc. My idea is something close to this but I would like to make it so the shirt looks even cooler when tagged with the NP_VB Stencil. Maybe hide some cryptic message that dosent show until the shirt is tagged. Like little words inside the N O V E M B E R P R O J E C T letters (#NotACult).
