It may be some ‘water cooler’ like talk but my goodness am I happy for the rain. From smoke and wildfires to downpours of rain it goes without saying that we needed this. My sister lives far to close to some of the recent fires and she was on standby to evacuate which has not be easy on my stress levels (let alone hers)! Needless to say I am very grateful that she is safe and very hopeful that this weather will help stop/slow the fires.
I think it is safe to say that it is a shared human experience to enjoy the sound of rain and thunder while going to bed and the smell of it all coming into your home on a summer night – I love it so much! Yesterday we had rain (hence the my fumbling around on the slick stairs trying to do the bounce this morning) and at the time of writing this it’s raining again. I am excited to go to bed just to get the aforementioned bedtime environment. I remember as a kid getting in trouble for leaving the windows open at night because I failed to realize that rain can also come through sideways which thoroughly soaked the blinds. The intricate cleaning of each rung of the blinds the next morning did not and has not stopped me from doing the exact same thing every chance I get. I hope you are all enjoying it too 🙂
Big kudos to the folks that hit a PR today! While we were sans race day sign we had the new sign to fill in for photos, which worked great. It is no easy task to find the willingness to push yourself but everyone did. I am proud to have been in there presence at 6am – it makes me a better person.

Keep being awesome,
Rob
