“….practice makes? Perfect. Absolutely not…Practice makes improvements…You’ll never hit a state of perfection. You are always bigger than what you do. So all you are looking for is new breakthroughs through practice and practice and practice,” Les Brown.
After years of taking my fitness more seriously, the meaning of this quote (just like #JustShowUp or be comfortable with the uncomfortable) is what I would want my younger self to truly understand. The words may not mean much without the experience behind, them but time and time again I see that it is the slow incremental changes that mean everything. It’s not about one workout, it’s about all the workouts you do over time. This morning you woke up and moved. On Friday we’ll do the same. On Monday the same. And over and over again. It’s not always straight forward success, but understanding that any change is not instantaneous is a life lesson I hope to constantly remember. Great work to everyone that chose to get up and move this morning.
On Friday we have some amazing babysitters covering for Lazina and I so please make sure to come out and support your fellow community members as they hold down the fort.
Keep being awesome – and never stop showing up in whatever you are doing.
