I can’t imagine that any of you who woke up early this morning to venture to the south legislature field for our NP workout expected to bounce to a monkey nursery rhyme. We always say expect the unexpected and also try to lead by example. When you show up at November Project you get to put away any worries about acting goofy, having fun and simply playing around…all at the same time as getting in a really great workout. This morning was no different. I thought of 3 Little Monkeys as a bounce last night. I had no idea how it would work but caught myself smiling and laughing when I imagined how it might play out. I figured, what the heck, why shouldn’t we try this, it may be goofy and silly maybe you’ll all wonder if I’d gone crazy but if nothing else, we’ll all have a good laugh! I had so much fun with it this morning and was pumped when you all joined right along. From the instant we started, as with every morning we meet, the energy was contagious and we smashed that 30-60-30 workout.
Not that you need permission but just so you know, permission is granted for you to be yourself, to have fun, to laugh aloud (even if it causes you to snort), to act a little zany, to let your guard down, to meet a stranger, to high 5 a friend, to gift someone with a hug, to simply play, and to smile. There is a lot of stress in our lives, gifting yourself with 30 minutes of joy, positivity, and happiness is a great thing!
