NPSF: When Irish eyes are smiling…

When Irish eyes are smiling… don’t trust them. They’re going to tell you to do a fuck load of burpees. Today, we traversed across Alta Plaza park on a route that somewhat resembled a four leaved clover, dropping to give us exercises around the park. We had you GPS track your shamrock using your Strava or whatever highfalutin apps you kids are using these days, so we could award great praise and awe onto the best athlete/artists in the bunch. From the preliminary round of judging, here’s a solid attempt by @shinginthebay. Adding a stem to the clover. KUDOS! Followed by a not so good attempt by your truly, @poleary87!

We mentioned in the workout intro that the four leaved clover was common misassociation with St. Patrick’s Day, and it was actually the shamrock (3 leaves) that the man himself used to explain the Holy Trinity to the Druids in Ireland. Well our girl, Kat Lucky, wasn’t going to let that one go so she decided to forego a workout station and take a cross country route to give us a pretty epic shamrock and stem combination. Well played, Kat Lucky, well played!

We also had a prize for the best St. Patrick’s Day garments. With the bam-one-two combo of Nate and Tommy Fisher there was only going to be one winner. Big ups to Perry Wang, Sarah Ting and Courtney Alev who all put in valiant and highly commended efforts.

This Friday, we run the Point Lobos Avenue hill out at Ocean Beach/Cliffhouse. Meet at this point. There will be an early group at 5:30AM as well as the 6:23AM group, so why not be tempted by a double dose of Friday Hills.

We will be tagging on Friday, so bring a t-shirt if you want something tagged!
