Oh wow friends. We’ve hit our 10th birthday. We’re celebrating all week long!
I can’t wait to see you throughout this week (and every other week…. hahaha).
Since we’ve had a hot, summery weekend, we felt it necessary to have a do-over of last week’s holiday Monday plan. We were supposed to host a waterslide but 10 degrees and windy didn’t really scream Summer lovin weather…. so, take two. To kick off birthday week!
Aaaaand, I almost slept through it all.
I’ve been dreading this day. The day I sleep through my alarm and miss NP.
… and with all the gear for a fun waterslide too (tarps, a hose, the soap, etc).
Well good thing that didn’t happen; my eyes popped open with juuuuust enough time to flip on some workout gear and drive (a little speedily I won’t lie) to Emily Murphy Park.
What a dramatic way to enter a Monday morning. #shakingmyhead

What a time this morning was!!
I can’t believe this day has come- our 10th year together. I feel pretty honoured that I get to play a small part in building that sandbox for us all to play in. As often happens when I step back and reflect on how we got here, and how I got here, I always think about Andrew, Nadim, and Jen (our legacy co-leaders for those who haven’t had the great fortune of meeting them!). Always. None of us would be slippin down a waterslide, laughing our asses off, with grass and mud up our butts ready to get in line to do that again, if it wasn’t for them. And at 6am too!
While we all clink our water bottles with sweat dripping down our faces this week, I think about everyone who has made this community what it was and what it is. It really has taken all of us to make NP Canada THIS special…. all before most people wake up to start their days.
This morning was such a great start to what will be an epic week friends!
I’ll do my best to set two alarms for the rest of the week. 😉
