For some reason, when I set out to write this blog this song popped in my head. Real classic if you ask me. A manic Monday. The Bangles (? ok, had no idea that’s who that was…), set out to tell you how shitty her Monday is, and how she–well. Let’s investigate…

“It’s just another manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
‘Cause that’s my fun day
My I don’t have to run day
It’s just another manic Monday”
Ok. First of all, I think they should’ve looked up the definition of ‘manic’, cause according to Le Google:
Manic (adjective): showing wild and apparently deranged excitement and energy. Umm, I don’t know about y’all, but I’m pretty sure November Project was founded on deranged excitement and energy. So far so good…

Now, “I wish it was Sunday.” Boo. Sunday is for the birds. Quit livin in the past. Let’s start this week off right.
“My I don’t have to run day?” Fact. This part makes me think she knows how to ‘run-deck-run’ just fine. Mondays are our run-days. And Wednesdays. And Fridays. And all the other days. Gotta wake up early, #refuseToSnooze and get your ass out the door. It’s TIME FOR NP!!! #manicNP!
Alright, so hold up. Is this song about not liking Mondays or not I’m confused? After listening to it again, I think The Bangles would love NP. Get them out of their Monday doldrums. Maybe they need to take a page out of Whitney Houston’s book (the next song up on YouTube autoplay) and dance with somebody instead.
Keep crushing life and winning this week. Wednesday we’re back at Harvard Stadium.
Much Love,
– C. Payne
P.S. I haven’t stopped YouTube autoplay, and got these gems. You can thank me later.
