-Lumberjack workout coming at you in November

This morning we resisted pressing snooze, we braved the dark and we kept it weird and wacky. This windy Wednesday saw us grouping up in teams of 3 and running all over the Forks to crush different exercises. The workout was a trial run for the PEG City Scramble tomorrow and let me tell you it was EXCELLENT and tomorrow is going to be even better! We capped the workout off with the ever faithful RPS World Champs and phenom game of Crabs vs Bears. Weird, wacky, wild, and wonderful WAY TO GO!

Kim was the well deserving recipient of the Shabooya award and had the cutest ‘ are you good?!’ with her non existent post sickness lost voice. Kim you’re awesome and we’re glad you showed up!

Tomorrow is the PEG City Scramble + After Party and it’s going to be AWESOME! It’s a foot race, scavenger hunt, party extravaganza! If you have any questions contact me (Megan) or #justshowup to the Kings Head tomorrow at 6:30pm. The schedule of events are as follows:

7:00- Pre Race meeting
7:14- Race begins
8:30- Race ends
8:31- After Party begins
Come! It’s going to be awesome! If you don’t have a team, just show up and we’ll get you on a team. If you can’t make it for the race common’ by for the After Party. It’s gonna be a wicked night you won’t want to miss it! Oh and the winning team gets BEER!
It was the WFPS half marathon on Sunday and WHAT AN AMAZING DAY! There were so many tribe members out there running and just as many out cheering! We started the day right with a FIRE bounce and kept the day rolling with PR after PR. Renee and Amie proved that smiles help you crush miles and that if you #runhappy you’ll also run fastttttt! Renee cheered and smiled and danced her way to a PR and Amie threw down a PR in a banana costume, that’s right people I said a BANANA COSTUME! You go girls! Junel ran the most joyful 13.1 miles while taking approximately 2341 pictures. Mark and Evan’s hard work all season paid off and they finished at the top of the men’s field with a 1:34:32 for Evan and 1:35:37 for Mark. Scott showed us that numb feet / legs and one of the most confounding and spectacular bonks I’ve ever seen cannot stop you from finishing when you’ve got grit and heart. Mel finished her first half marathon and had a heart warming hug with her son at the finish line that brought a tear to my eye. Sara showed up with signs that were both hilarious and beautiful. Marina organized an incredible cheer station. Connie opened her home to us and hosted an incredible post race brunch. I proved that being able to open your eyes and stand up unassisted at the end of the race is unnecessary and not to be expected from some of us. And to everyone one else who raced and cheered I appreciate you all and there were just too many amazing people to celebrate (I mean, what a problem to have!). NP YWG you friggin rock, thank you for bringing your energy and your fire, we light up every race we’re at!
