How much?! (YEG)

The best things in life are free

I know that today was the day to find amazing deals and maybe even get a bunch of your Christmas shopping started. But today, as I reflect upon how inundated my inbox was with sale advertisements I will admit it was all a little overwhelming. And, ultimately, I have to pause sometimes and ask myself, do I really need more? I admit, I can totally get swept up in the energy of a good sale or shopping experience – I can relate to retail therapy! But I also know that in the end, the best things in life are truly free.

My health, my happiness, my family, my friends, my community – they don’t come with 30% off stickers. I believe that each of you who chose to show up today, even if you found something amazing in your Black Friday shopping, gave yourself with the best possible gift without paying a penny for it – a gift of fitness, positivity, joy, and community. And not only did you gift yourself with those things, but your presence was also a present to the everyone else who showed up. Your energy added to the volume of the bounce, gave encouragement and push up the hill, challenged those running beside you, created the “boom” that echoed for Travis’ birthday, and was shared as you high-hived and hugged your neighbour. It was the best Black Friday decision you made, in my obviously biased opinion. 😉

I hope that on Cyber Monday you also gift yourself with free fitness!
