Breakdown of what you missed this morning:
We played a little game of baseball. With every lap of the bases you complete, you scored a run. Add up the runs, win the game. Simple enough, right? Of course not. Our first mistake was assigning the First Base Coach position to Paddy O’Leary, one of the only people at the workout who has probably never picked up a bat. If you got the signal from Paddy, you were allowed to ‘steal a base’ and skip to the next one. Unfortunately, no one knew when to steal a base because he was making signs like this at them:

Clearly not a baseball coaches “go to” signal.
For the burn out, the highest run scorers were given the chance to prove their hand-eye coordination superiority with a quick game of home run derby (BIG sorry to those who scored just as high but I didn’t choose you! Next time, next time). First hit out of Andrew Hutchinson was over the wall, setting a nice pace for the game. Following him, however, it just proved that maybe us fitness enthusiasts should stick to running and burpees. Emma McCune, for example, couldn’t even decide if she was righty or lefty…

The jury is still out on that one.
In the end, it was Andrew who took home the rubber chicken and the glory.

But I think we all know it was Ali who won today! Happy Birthday to the most joyful and loveable member of the NPSF tribe! Sorry about Weston. He means well.
