It has been said, that you are a collection of your experiences. I am so fortunate that I have been able to collect so many experiences with so many people over the last 5 years through November Project. And while I fully realize that I’m in the midst of a hilarious, yet confusing, time of my life, it’s hard to imagine what life would have been like without this crazy movement.
Much like the past 5 years, today could not have been possible without everyone who showed up. Jen, Andrew and myself show up on time every week just like the rest of you. The only difference, is we get to tell you what to do. It is each and every one of you that has built November Project. It is you that has created the safe and positive space that we all know and love. It is you that keeps each other accountable to showing up. It is you that inspires each other to keep pushing yourself to be better, no matter your starting point. I know I speak for Jen and Andrew when we say that we couldn’t be more proud of how generous, supportive and welcoming you all are. You’ve created something very special in Edmonton and you should be very proud of that.
Today was a blast. I tried to count all the people, but I actually can’t count that high. Let’s just say we had 3,400. So thank you for showing up, today, and every other day that have made it out in the past.
In particular, we’d love to give some shoutouts to those who made today happen.
DJ Bradley James – For generating noise complaints from the neighbours.
Lil Trentie – For being our roadie. We appreciate you
Blue Giraffe Creamery – For the delicious free ice cream this morning. We love that you’re part of the tribe and wanted to help out. Sorry that we ate all your ice cream (not actually sorry).
Lululemon YEG – Thanks for the games, balloons and popcorn. Sometimes we feel like everything we do is from a movie, so the popcorn was perfect.
Steven and Katie – For making us all look so good! You are constantly capturing the joy and energy that everyone brings and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
Everyone that showed up with food, costumes and other treats – Thank you for taking extra time out of your day and sharing your talents and creativity with everyone
