Guess who’s back (Ottawa)

Guess who’s back, back again

We’re back, tell a friend

Guess who’s back, guess who’s back?

Guess who’s back, guess who’s back?
Guess who’s back, guess who’s back?
Guess who’s back?

We could post the entire song here but do yourself and Eminem the favor of listening to this classic again later today.  But don’t these lyrics perfectly coincide with us being back in TD Place Stadium this morning? The beauty about not having access to the Stadium every week is that mornings like these are that much more eventful, fomo-inducing and leave you wanting it more and more #gratefulbutgreedy.  When we look back to our first PR DAY in the stadium the unknown was scary. Not knowing how many sections your body could handle, not knowing what the impact of the stairs would be post-day or not knowing how to move efficiently while not gassing out within the first three sections. But, by now you have an idea of it.  You’ve heard some loud whispers from the strangers who’ve become friends pre and post workout. PR Day is all it’s cracked up to be. It brings the best elements of November Project together. Encouragement, comradery, weird-wildness and competitiveness of it all are brought to a head. This is the time when you’ll see people push themselves to finish sections in under 50 seconds in order to complete 30 sections or more.  This is the day you’ll see people chase down their most previous PR in order to walk out of that stadium knowing that they might not be able to conquer their new record next time. The intention is to blow it out of the water and to leave nothing behind. To be proud and more than content that you not only showed up but you gave it your best. To brag about your morning achievements all day and the next day after that.

PR’s make us fired up, PR’s make us cry and they definitely allow us to feel like we’ve conquered the day, week and month. As you sip your coffee raise it in the air and give out an overtly-loud or silent toast to you, your tribe and the PR’s of today (my coffee cup is paper so no chin-chin noise to be heard)

Here’s to bringing soles together,

Lauren and Liz
