Getting creative

Well to all those resisted the snooze button and who came out to play on the Supreme Court Lawn, you impressed us once again. This workout was one in which the challenge and the results of the workout were up to you. It was one you could likely get away with slacking- Did you hang on to that plank until a tribe member come to relieve you? Were you nervous to call someone out to come save you from those burpees? Did you reach that point where 7:00am couldn’t come soon enough? It’s that fine balance between making sure you can push for the entire time and not burn out in the first 8 minutes, and that perfect burn where you just about can’t finish those last few reps. It looked like most of were doing some huffing and puffing- whether your best effort meant a walk or jog across the lawn, a or a sprint everytime. The challenge was up to you and we some some people really kicking their butts into gear and pushing hard.

Either way, something to think about. More importantly, today was about mixing it up, being partners with different partners, getting to interact with people you may not have and holding each other accountable. We also got a chance to be creative in exercises and cool ways to challenge one another. Did anyone else get Ken’s alphabet ab buster? I think that great idea spread like wildfire on when people saw other people doing it. We got to explore a different part of this beautiful city. For those of you who were new or who haven’t been to the Supreme Court, we like to mix it up every once in a while and change the environment where we get to sweat together. We also like to see if socials are being followed- did people show up at Parliament Hill this morning? If your friends don’t follow social media, maybe you can be the person who reminds them of the location- another strategy to be holding each other accountable and connect throughout the week. We want to take advantage of the beautiful locations this city has to offer- for people who have been living in this city their entire lives and haven’t stepped out of their literal “zone” or those who are new to the city and want to see what’s out there and get oriented.

Keep an eye out for those changes, November is going to be a KEY month to watch for that. Can you commit to every workout? More on that to come. Thank you for sharing your morning, your workout and your time with us. Until next time, here’s to bringing “soles” together,

Liz and Lauren
