Yes. We swapped the day of a crushing stair workout. Today!!
Why? Well, check out the announcements section.
Before you do though…. here’s part 2 of who put their hand up to help NP Canada a bit more. If you don’t know what I mean, check out this post–> here.
Let’s all learn more about Marcela:

Looking back at when I joined the NP fam is still confusing to me, but I remember exactly when I decided to be more involved. It was not too long ago when November Project actually click for me, and that was in November 2021, the day I scream, “my name is Marcela and today is my birthday”. I am not big at celebrating my birthday, I do not even tell people about it, so that was huge for me as I was screaming my lungs out to so many people. The “boom” and later birthday wishes made me feel very special. Since that day, I told myself I would like to come to every workout there is and join this amazing family.
Choosing to #justshowup, three times a week, in the coldest months of winter was kind of crazy, but I actually enjoyed it so much that one of my favorite workouts was not even a workout for me. The day that it was so cold that with the windshield it felt like -39 was my favorite. Yes!, one of my favorites. Lazina and Rob decided that it was a great day to go tobogganing. I saw the post and I was a bit confused about why we were doing that on such a cold day. I even thought it was a joke but I brought my sled anyways. I was either going to be embarrassed by believing in the joke or be prepared for what was going to happen that day. To my surprise, it was not a joke. A bunch of adults playing in the snow – at 6 am – was not a joke. And I LOVED IT. I even earned my -30 badge and that was pretty cool.
I am so grateful that I am part of November Project, but this would have not been possible without my sister. She is part of the reason why I chose to show up. Well, my story might not be as fabulous as others but this is how it happened.
One day I saw her wearing the November Project tagged shirt, and I really liked it, so I asked her where she got it. She told me that she got it from this group she does stairs every Wednesday and asked me if I wanted to come so I agreed. She didn’t give me much information about it but she did say it was a free workout and you need to be at Commonwealth Stadium at 6 am. That was it. All I wanted was that tagged shirt because it was cool. I didn’t even think about the workout or the early morning so I showed up. The cool T-shirt with the NP logo and the invitation my sister made me was the reason I chose to show up.

Announcements
- Wednesday at 5:58am– GUESS WHAT?!?! We’re doing something we’ve never done before in early September. Two hints: 1) meet us at Emily Murphy Park and 2) bring a towel (and maybe a dry shirt or something like that). This makes for good pre-gaming for the first day of school. And, if you have 2:27 mins, watch this.
- Friday at 5:58am- we’ll see you at the bottom of Walterdale Hill.
