If you look at the #Frogust tracker, we’re still a few sections off of our goal of getting the tribe to hit #150k sections in the month of August Frogust. Now, technically there are still about 36 hours left in Frogust, so you should all be saying something like this. However, our underlying goal was to strengthen and bolster this community and inspire as many of you as we could to run more sections this month than you ever have.
All of you did.
This morning when I asked if anyone in the crowd had been inspired by someone else this month to run more sections, everyone raised their hand. To the three of us, that‘s success. To the three of us, we met our goal–our super secret goal of getting all of you to push one another and really see where the limit is. Now, we have a bar for #frogust. Now, for the first time ever, we have a #TR, a tribe record. At the end of this month we’ll freeze the sheet, and frame it. And who knows–maybe next #frogust we’ll dust it off and see if we can’t crush our TR?
And oh, by the way… all those people who raised their hands this morning? All you folks who were “inspired by someone else” this month? Make sure you reach out to them, in person or on social media. Let them know they were motivating, inspiring, all around badass, fun to chase, hard to hold off, encouraging, helpful, the list goes on. Don’t leave those comments unsaid. They’ll be very appreciative of the shout out, and you’ll be surprised who gives you a shout out.
So… the tribe didn’t get #150k. Because of that, all workouts are cancelled for the month of September. Wait–I think I have that mixed up. What I meant to say was this: We don’t care. We’re fuckin’ getting tattoos anyway. Cause this shit is good, and waking up with the lot of you 3x/week is exactly how we want to spend our time. Keep moving, keep crushing sections, crushing life, and loving the folks around you.
We’re back Friday morning on Summit Ave in Brookline. We’ll probably run a hill or two.
