BREAKING NEWS: Derek FINALLY made the steam picture work. This morning I was about to yell at him from the group, “Stop trying to make fetch happen, Derek” good thing I stayed quiet.  After trying approximately once every cold weather workout to get the ‘breathe in, breathe out together’ picture to work; it happened, it finally happened.  The morale of the story is never give up on your dream.  This is either going to go one of two ways, Derek will retire it and never try again, or we’ll keep trying every Wednesday until it works again. Stay tuned.

This morning was a tough one, we visited many of the classic areas: Forks market, port stairs, astronomy circle, and we spent a bunch of time on the wood bridge before it gets turned into ice for the winter!

Today Karly won the Shabooya award.  Karly is awesome.  She is wicked fast. She is consistently pushing from the front of the group.  She crushed it last year with Chain for Change, and was just awarded the Guinness World Record for longest continuous skate chain, thank you for putting Winnipeg on the world record map, for something other than slurpees! She was also just named to the Manitoba 40 under 40 list.  Karly you’re incredible and we’re glad you’re here.

We are continuing to collect coats at yoga this week and next Wednesday, we already have a big pile of warm gear, so let’s keep that donation train a rolling.

On the note of yoga, Friday we are moving inside to Awesome Hot Yoga for the winter.  Class starts at 6am, be there before that, register on the MindBody app to make sure you get a spot, $5 (cash is easier), mat rental $2, wear a buff or grassroots gear, just for giggles, namaste.

What: November Project, Christmas Bonspiel
When: Saturday, December 15, 1-5pm
Where: Granite Gate Curling Club
Cost: $5- $10 (depending on numbers)

Curling, we’re going curling.  Strange? Maybe. Awesome? YES!  Keep an open mind, we think it’s going to be so fun.  Most of us have never curled, so it’s sure to be a yard sale.  We will be curlin in teams of 3, make your own, or just show up and we’ll find you a team.  It will be a round robin tournament, games will be short, and there will be lots of time to stand around and socialize and drink cheap beer.  We will have off ice games / challenges and costumes are encouraged.  Let’s try something new.  (Plus, it’ll be super instagram-able). Everyone come, I am legit super excited and you should be too! (Plus we’re a 5 minute walk from Osbourne Village- so the afterparty options are endless!) Facebook event to come!

Saturday is the Full Moon Fat Ass Frosty Beaver Half Marathon, it’s a rogue, unsanctioned, untimed, self manned, night, trail half marathon.  Race starts and ends at the Forks, check in at 6pm, run start 7pm.  Check it all out here:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2018-fat-ass-full-frosty-beaver-moon-half-registration-41923792191

It’s an awesome event, you should check it out!

That’s it, that’s all.
