Cycles

Our workouts are cyclic.

Wednesday, Friday. Wednesday, Friday.

5:29, 6:26. 5:29, 6:26.

Good morning, good morning. Y’all good?, awwwww yeah.

So are our bodies.

Left foot, right foot. Left foot, right foot.

Heartbeat saying lub dup, lub dup.

And so is our city.

Waves come in, waves go out.

Wind blows east, bringing yeast scents, wind blows west, bringing lake air.

Morning commute, evening traffic.

Winter, spring, summer, fall.

Lean into the cycle of life, body, and city. Let it become a Monday poem, and listen to it every day. Lean into the quiet of your life, share your poem with others, and rewrite it as you see fit.
