Cherry Blossom Stairlamanders (DCA)

The more people complain about how hard stairlamanders are, the more we like them. Ok, now that I got that out of my system, let’s get a quick recap of today’s blooming Friday location.

I had one of those nightmares this morning that I showed up late to an NP workou…..oh wait, that happened. I probably ran my fastest mile time ever trying to get there on time and then I get stopped at two lights for at least a minute. DON’T THEY KNOW I HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE? PEOPLE TO HUG? SMILES TO MANUFACTURE? We’re still working on getting some sway with the traffic patterns but my guess is that if Mother Nature won’t cooperate all the time, neither will anything else. But guess what. I trained for this. I trained for life. This is where it all comes to fruition. And then I still show up right when my boy Danny is explaining the workout to confused faces. What else is new? I promise, we’re getting better at explaining workouts. None of it matters. We jump right in. We kick ass. We stairlamander (yes it’s a verb now. Thanks MSN tribe). We hop. We have a boat race. We take pictures by the beautiful cherry blossoms. But the best part hasn’t happened yet. We take a final group picture with a couple that recently got engaged. AND THEY LOVED IT. ALL SMILES.

This is what NP is about. Spreading the love that we naturally have for each other as humans. Creating real human interaction that we can take home with us, live on, take each others hands, have a blast, and remember these moments for the rest of our lives.

I can’t tell you all how proud I am of all of you and how much I love you all and how effing beautiful you all are. We are building an incredible community that will grow and love and smile and hug and yell for years and years to come. Welcome to the NP life. Onward DC. Onward.
