Can We Skip to the Good Part

Regardless of TikTok trends I am going to go out on a limb here and assume none of you are opposed to this?!? Though here comes the obvious Verner retort of “yeah no we’re gonna do those twice!!”

I am deeply rooted in the hard parts, the in between parts, the normal parts, and the every day parts.
I don’t think people are made in the good parts. Which is blindingly obvious. I don’t think the good parts prepare you for anything. On the contrary the good parts actually take a lot with them.
For some they can make the good parts harder to come by.
For some the good parts make us soft.
The good parts can fool us into thinking it will always be like this.
The good parts can make us think we aren’t good enough.

To steal from The Office, no one ever knows they’re in the good ole days until they’re gone. And I would challenge you to notice that some of the hardest days on those hills, the toughest mornings in the rain, and the lowest push-ups in the puddles: have the biggest smiles when they’re over, when you see who’s beside you, when you relish that gain.

So maybe we don’t skip to the good parts anymore, but we work through them, and are sure to surround ourselves with the kind of people we want to share them with.

Now it’s easy to say this as the sun is up before the START of a workout, and the forecast is for LESS than an atmospheric river, but
Come hell and high water we’re glad you’re here and smiling at you too. And we’ll continue to be come 6:29am.

Don’t be shy to always be recruiting (build what you want to have), and lift up those beside you (learn their names and say it with as much vigour as you can at 6:45am).

Because: THESE ARE THE GOOD OLE DAYS.
You’ve been warned.
