Winter reflections (DCA)

An early January Wednesday such as today reminds me of my first NP workout three years ago. I can’t say I remember all of the workout, but I have a few vivid memories:

At the end of this thing I’d later learn was called “The Bounce” there was A LOT of yelling during a call-and-response. It sounded a bit jumbled to me. What. Were. They. Yelling? read more

31 days of EVERYTHING (DCA)

So, it’s November. NOVEMBER. As in … the first word in our name! It has meaning, folks. You see, these two guys in Boston…

(OK, OK, you might know the story. And if you don’t, check this out or The Book.)

Anyway, November is a big month in NP lore. We’re also celebrating our 4th Birthday this month, Nov. 11 to be exact — change that “interested” in the Facebook event to a “going” asap! It’s going to be EPIC. Stay tuned. #JustShowUp. You know the drill. read more

Because for the first time in November Project DC history — and maybe in November Project Worldwide history — we are holding a POETRY CONTEST! That’s right. From now until next Friday, Aug. 25, send us your poems, your haikus, your limericks. We’ll feature them throughout next week* and then choose three winners who will receive free entry into the Baltimore Running Festival Oct. 21. read more

Wrong. WRong. WRONG!

Without further ado, get to know Thom Mukri, November Project DC’s master recruiter. Don’t worry — all of his tactics are clean. No investigations needed. read more
