Running Fiesta In Miri

18th March 2018 marked the 2nd Miri Marathon that organised by local Miri Marathon Association.  This is also one of the station for the Great Borneo Series (3 major marathon series in 3 different cities in Borneo island – next will be in May at Kota Kinabalu then in August at Kuching city).

In the tribe, not many of us are fans of running.  But because we workout as a tribe, hence we decided to participant this Miri Marathon as a tribe and show our town what November Project is all about.  Close to 60 of us signed up for the event.  The excitement got hived up into the next level in one of the morning breakfast session when everyone got “Jio” (mean Challenged) to upgrade their race distance to next level. Here is our own definition of the running categories. read more

Thank you tribe, you are awesome!

Yes.. each and everyone of you in the tribe.

Is my turn to compose our weekly blog.  Try to get some ideas what special topic to write for this week, hence I browse on NP blog from other tribe, hit one interesting blog from a co-leader Nadim (Edmonton, AB) about his early thanksgiving and a full list of what he is thankful for.  It reminded me again the journey of our NP Project Malaysia formed back in June 2017. read more

PR – Take Two

PR –  take Two.

2nd August marked the 2nd PR for November Project Malaysia.  Due to some confusion in counting during our first PR (suicide uphill between the lamp posts), we have decided to simplify the loops by doing the full hill, which are “A side” of the hill down and up about 1km and “B side” side of the hill down and up about 800 m.  The PR was set to complete 3 loops (A+B side) within 30 mins.  This make life easy as we eliminated the counting post part. read more

Things wasn’t getting heated at that point of time until November 2016. The topic was brought up again for discussion among the team and we received lots of positive feedback.  So I thought, “WHY NOT TO GIVE IT A SHOT?!” read more
