What an exciting week again! While we were busy running those hills and pushing those push-ups, our friends back at the NP HQ were cooking us a soup of awesome news! There are also 2 big races coming up over the next 2 weeks! Let’s recap everything!
A big brand-new sponsor: Brooks!
November Project is super excited to announce that it partnered with Brooks Running as its new global apparel and shoe wear sponsor! Brooks is deeply committed to what makes November Project such a unique place to be and to be a part of: welcoming all to running and activities for the joy it brings, the community it builds and how it betters the world! We couldn’t be more excited about this and have such a great company with a long history backing us as November Project keeps on growing!
Brooks’ influence will be multifaceted, including financial support, access to new footwear and apparel, resources for our leadership training and the annual November Project Summit, entries into Brooks-sponsored running events, and activations on a global and local level. You can be sure we’ll let you guys know how this will impact us here in Montréal!

November Project Summit
Yes, Summit is coming up! When do you ask? November 15th to 18th! Where? Nowhere else than the Fabulous Las Vegas!
Summit is probably NP’s most exciting time of the year when folks from all around the world meet up for a crazy weekend full of bounces, crazy workouts, and races! This year, our visit to Sin City will coincide with the Rock’n’Roll Las Vegas marathon weekend. The world-famous “Strip” is closed down on both the Saturday and the Sunday for the 5 km, 10 km, half-marathon, and marathon races. An NP-special registration code will be coming soon. We’ll share more details in the coming weeks but get in touch with us now if you’d like to join us as we travel down to Nevada!
Montréal Scotiabank half-marathon
The annual Montréal is coming up next weekend (Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th) and many of our members are racing!
Whether it’s to cheer your friends, pace them for that last little bit, because you’re actually the one racing or because you simply want to spend some time outside with rad folks, you can be sure NP Montréal will be there! Details will be shared on Wednesday for the exact location of the cheer-squad. Want to be in the loop of everything? We have a WhatsApp group going! Tell us and we’ll add you to it!
Want some dope grass-root gear for the race or the cheer-squad? Come talk to us and bring a shirt, we’ll get that spray paint going!
Wings for Life Global Run 2019
Our friends at WRG Media are partnering this year again with Red Bull to host Montréal’s venue of the Wings for Life race and we’ll be there this year again!
Wings for Life is a foundation raising funds for spinal cord research created by Red Bull back in 2004. Every year since, they host an annual global race that takes place around the world in 39 countries at the same time: Australia runs at 8 p.m., Los Angeles at 4 a.m., London at 10 a.m., Montréal at 7 a.m., etc. …
This is quite a unique race; it has no set distance! A virtual car starts chasing the runners after that start and you run until you are “caught” (run faster = run farther = take longer to get caught).

Interested in joining the Montréal race? Here are the details:
– Date: Sunday, May 5, 2019
– Time: 7 a.m. EST global start
– Location: Chateau St Ambroise
– Course: Lachine Canal
– Featuring: local ambassador Ben Leclair
Want to hear more about Ben or simply want to get inspired by an incredible person? WRG’s podcast – Le Run Down – did an episode with him where he discusses overcoming his spinal cord injury and learning to regain movement. Ben will be using a hand bike to race the course this year. That’s it for now folks! See you all on Wednesday for the Endgame of Apr-hill with the Sunrise +/- 6km up Mont-Royal. We’re meeting the George-Étienne Cartier Monument (the tam-tam statue) at 6:29 a.m.!
