The best part about NP is that we’ll be here next week, next month, and years into the future. In a week of smoke filled air this is an important reminder to listen to your body and do what is best for you. It’s also an important reminder in finding the balance in pushing yourself in your workouts and not causing injury. It feels like the fitness industry as a whole is focused on injury prevention and not in your face you push until you collapse – I’m loving it. Though maybe I’m biased because my social media page is filled with this kind of thinking and the algorithm knows it haha.
I hope you take the time to be kind to yourself because you deserve it. I’ve spent years doing races and physical activities and the lesson of being kind is one that I’ll need to learn and relearn may more times to come. As training starts to ramp up for me being kind means not only managing the activities that I do but also my nutrition. This is not my expertise so I am fortunate enough to have a professional in my corner who is helping me make sure I’m eating what I need to. Protein has been my biggest challenge. Maybe it is for you too so I thought I’d share a helpful infographic I was given

Don’t take any professional advice from me but I hope this reference helps someone.
Thankfully Monday looks like it will be raining which I will happily accept over smoke. Some folks asked for a summary of Monday’s Sunrise 6k (they were sharing it to convince their corporate challenge team to come out). Whatever your reason feel free to use this picture to invite anyone out to Monday – see you then!! 😊

Keep being awesome,
Rob
