“I can’t see a way through said the boy. Can you see your next step? Yes. Just take that said the horse.” This quote is from a literary graphic novel called The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. It’s about the friends in the title going on an adventure sharing and learning from one another. Ya it’s a picture book about life lessons but I would argue that it’s intended audience is not defined by any age. There are a lot of things one could extract from the book’s tales but what I quoted has been on my mind recently. Be it related to fitness or things in your life it is so easy to fall into a routine of looking only to the end goal and sometimes it can be really overwhelming or frustrating. To me the thinking behind this quote isn’t to try and say ‘be more present’ but rather to just trust that the future is going to happen and to take a step. With each step you’ll get closer, it doesn’t matter how long it will take, so all you need to do is focus on the next step and “…just take that.” Who knows if you needed to hear that or not but I know that sometimes I do (even a few times a day haha).
Great work to everyone taking hundreds of steps this morning up, down, and around the Royal Glenora Stairs. I know that being around people putting in the work makes me aspire to push myself even just a little bit more and Woooow was there some inspiration today! Quick little announcement: next week Lazina and I are kicking off the end of the month with a PR day! Things are going to be structured a bit differently than in the past but I promise the experience is going to be fun if not very unique haha.
