NPSUMMIT 10

November Project Summit 10 - Philadelphia

#NPSUMMIT presented by Brooks is coming to Philadelphia from September 16-19. Below are some of the details and resources that you’ll need to know before starting your travel plans.

DIRECTORY OF RESOURCES (Added 8/23)

Howdy all! We know that the Hype Machine that is NP Summit is very very real. There is information coming at you from different angles, at different times, in different ways and we understand that this can maybe be confusing and overwhelming. With that in mind, we have created a Directory, similar to the November Project Philly Linktr.ee that brings together all of the resources you will need for the weekend.

  1. Below is the NPSummit 10 Weekend Itinerary or “Run of Show”
  2. NP Summit 10 Social Page
  3. NP Summit 10 Housing Doc – We do not have any specific recommendations on where you should be staying as getting around Philadelphia is fairly easy on foot, public transportation, bicycle, or rideshare. The housing document is to connect people who are looking to couch surf with people who have space available.
  4. Before you arrive a couple of NP Philly members have put together a Public Transportation Guide blog post. Please look through it prior to arriving in Philly so you can hit the ground running.
  5. City Wide Scavenger Hunt Write-up  (9/5 – NEW UPDATE!!)
  6. Tour Registration Page
  7. Race Everything Doc (Includes Cheer station info)

We will be tagging event tag ONLY so make sure you come prepared with a shirt to get the official NP Summit 10 tag. Use the Public Transportation Guide for navigation on how to get to the Art Museum. Here is a google map of some post-workout breakfast recommendations.

Saturday Activities – Saturday, September 17th NP Philadelphia will be hosting two Daytime activities that we hope will provide you all with ample opportunity to explore and connect in a way that feels good for you.

1 – City Wide Scavenger Hunt (Updated)

For those looking to choose their own adventure and find their way around the City of Brotherly Love, we are hosting a City Wide Scavenger Hunt called PHLYO (pronounced FLY-OH!) that will challenge your navigation skills while also encouraging you to experience Philadelphia and take advantage of its walkability. The scavenger hunt will begin for each person the moment they set foot into the City of Philadelphia and will go until 1pm on Sunday. This is not a race, but rather an opportunity to win cool prizes while exploring the city! How PHLY is that!?! Official gameplay, rules, prizes, and details will be coming out in a blog post closer to the end of August. Until then check out the FB event page for updates.

2 – NP Philadelphia City Tours (Updated)

For those who want to participate in the City wide scramble and explore Philly in a more guided way, there will also be 4 amazing custom-made tours led by our very own NP Philly group members. Have children? Like being a tourist? Directionally challenged? Want to relax and not plan every move? We got you! Registration for these tours is officially open. Just Click Here to check them out. To ensure the best experience for you and our guides registration will be monitored so register for your tour as soon as possible. The kickoff spot for all of the tours will be 9:30am on Saturday morning at Love Park by the LOVE sign area. At promptly 9:35am we will take a large group photo with all 4 tour groups, followed by introductions of each of the Tour Leaders, and then wrapping up by splitting people into their tour groups. Tours will officially be in motion at 10am. Keep in mind that if you are participating in a tour, where you are staying may influence your post-workout breakfast choice. Refer to the google maps of breakfast spots mentioned earlier so you can find a place that works for you and your needs. This would also be a great opportunity to use some of the tools in the Public Transportation Guide.

Saturday Evening Dinner Recommendations (Added 9/7)

Here is a google map of a couple of pasta and pizza recommendations around the city for dinner on Saturday evening. One of these places is Farina Pasta and Noodle, a black owned business that was inspired by the owner Daniels study abroad time in Italy. If you are looking for something fast, affordable, and fresh, definitely check this place out! He loves the November Project mission and has even made it out to a handful of workouts over the last couple months. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Sunday, September 18th (Updated 8/20)

Race Day – Sunday, September 18th we’re incredibly excited to join forces with the Philadelphia Distance Run and 5k (PDR) where you can select either the 5K or half marathon. The good folks from PDR are offering a 20% discount code to all November Project members. Please select the code at the bottom of this page that corresponds to your NP city and use it at the checkout. Also if you are running the Philadelphia Distance Run record your name in the Race Everything google doc so we can cheer for you!

Cheer Station – Philadelphia Distance Run supports Students Run Philly Style (SRPS) an organization that helps youth through running and mentorship. Many SRPS students will be participating in the race so we’re excited to show them support as they are working hard to accomplish their running goals. The Cheer Station will be meeting at Lloyd Hall, which is along the Schuykill River Trail behind the Art Museum. Use the Public Transportation Guide for navigation on how to get there.

Sunday evening Social for All Ages – Sunday, September 18th we will be gathering at Brooklyn Bowl from 6-10pm for a night of celebration, bowling, dancing, etc. Use the Public Transportation Guide for navigation on how to get there.
