Oh collapsible blue bucket how we love thee.
We fill you with sand and rocks,
So we don’t slip onto our buttocks.
This safety fills us with such glee.
Oh bucket you live your life so carefree,
Living in Rob’s bag next to a pair of extra socks.
Until you are needed and we will fill you up from the sandbox
Oh Bucket you’re truly great – that is the reality
.
It’s that weird time of year when things are freezing and thawing. Those little patches of ice seem impossible to avoid. This poem is a tribute to the bucket because it was so damn useful this year. Beforehand, what I would do is go to the garbage bin and find a disposable coffee cup (because there was always at least one in there) and use it to fill up on sand. The lack of dumpster diving this year has definitely made the mornings easier. Andrew also really seems to like the bucket and maybe one day they can be friends. Best friends maybe. Hahaha can you imagine them going on adventures together: on the beach laughing as they build sand castles, giggling while on fancy dinner dates, and traveling the world seeing the sights! ……….My imagination in the afternoon obviously goes a little wild hahaha.
Jokes and soap opera love stories aside, you all did a fantastic job on the stairs this morning. We took it back to the classic RGS morning (10 pushup/situps/burpees) and you took it all in stride. Be it for a specific goal, for consistency, or to just have some fun in the morning, you put in the work and you deserve to have an amazing rest of your day.
Go out into the world, be a little silly, and we’ll see you Friday!
