Small World (YEG)

It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, world. Now that that song is stuck on repeat in your head, you’re welcome!

This morning, when our newbies came to sign their waivers, it was really cool to watch the surprise as two of them ran into one another. They came independently to this unfamiliar environment but found out quickly that there was already friendly face they knew. 

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been in conversation with fellow NPers and found that we have mutual friends, that my parents know their parents or I have taught their friends (that one makes me feel kind of old!) As I reflect upon my adventure last weekend, attending a wedding in Baltimore for two former NP leaders, I was once again reminded of the amazing power NP has of making our world even more connected, in the most amazing way. Whether it be Summits, traverbals, 30 city tours, NP hosts a space for positive human interactions that connect people from around the world. Every NP morning, even though we are separated by distance, we are connected in our mission to add joy and colour into each others lives using this amazing vehicle of free fitness! The wide-open-arm welcome that we extend has an incredible power of shrinking the distance between one another and build connections. When this happens, it is magical and it is quick to see that it truly is a small, small world.

As a heads up so that you don’t end up with a mini squash instead of a pumpkin, you will need a pumpkin for our workout on Monday, October 29 so plan ahead so you can get one before they are all gone. We may even ask you to bring it back to Wednesday, Octo 31 too!
