For the month of September, NP OAK has been hosting a recruiting challenge. We divided the tribe into two teams – Team Green and Team Yellow – and encouraged everyone to bring new people to their team.
Folks racked up points each week by finishing laps. Some weeks Team Yellow Won, some weeks Team Green won. This week, PR Wednesday, Team Green crushed Team Yellow, 189 to 161, which brought the grand total to…

We promise no mischief was done to get to this point. We did not manufacture this outcome. But. We’re not gonna lie. We’re pretty amused by it.
SO. Next week, Alex and Rebecca will throw down with one round of Rock-Paper-Scissors (or something) to determine the final winner. Get ready.
We hope you all enjoyed Recruitment Month. But, now that it’s over, remember that every month is Recruitment Month, and to keep bringing your friends and telling more people about this fun, energizing, exhilarating, ludicrous thing called November Project Oakland.

RECRUITMENT CHALLENGE: Now that it’s over, track your recruits here!
SHOW AND TELL: We’re teaming up with November Project San Francisco and our good friends at The North Face to host a Moth-style story-telling evening at TNF’s store in San Francisco. The event will take place the evening of Thursday, October 4. Bring your friends and submit an idea if you want to speak, sing, lead a guided meditation, or anything else (more info here).
TAGGING: We’re tagging shirts next week. Show up at the Lake Merritt Boating Center and we’ll tag your shirt with any color spray paint you want (as long as it’s black).
HAPPY HOUR DELAYED: Because of Show and Tell next week, we’re delaying our normal first-Wednesday-of-the-month happy hour till later in October. Stay tuned!
