Everything felt ‘business as usual’ this morning except that as you know, ‘business as usual’ at November Project means it was full of laughter, hard work, poop jokes, and lots and lots of fuck-yeah-able moments. It was definition “spring in Boston.” A beautiful morning by the esplanade. A morning that made me feel like it was 2013 again, when I started November Project and had no fuckin’ clue what was going on, I just knew I loved it.
If you missed this morning or you’ve been hibernating for the winter, it’s time to dust off the cobwebs on those running shoes and get out and enjoy the city with us.
It’s time.
This morning was the beginning of the warm weather in New England 2018. Dumb-hilarious-hard workouts, planks on planks and RandoGuys, inexplicable inside jokes and good times all around. I know there’s no other way I’d rather start my week off. A lot of people talk about Monday being the “gateway workout”–that you typically do a Monday first when it’s near your house and then realize the absurdity that is NP and come along for some Wednesdays and Fridays. I think I disagree. I think Mondays are for the hard core veterans. They’re for those of us who can’t get enough. It’s easy to stay hidden and part of the mob on Wednesdays and (to a lesser extent Fridays). Mondays you’re in the grind. You’re partnering up with Dana Bogans and Scott Gilroys and being asked to give more of yourself than you ever would alone. You’re bumpin’ elbows with the tribe–you’re shoving (or more likely getting shoved by) Adam Sogoloff, and laughing about who knows what, all to run home with the folks in your neighborhood ready to kick the week’s ass.
All that to say, NEXT Monday is a DO NOT MISS, as the three of us (EmC2) will NOT–I repeat–NOT leading the workout. Next Monday we hand the reigns over to a few other folks to show us how it’s done. Get it while it’s hot! These #celebrityShots are only here for a limited time, so get ’em before they run out!
We’ll also be makin some BRAND NEW #GRASSROOTS_GEAR THIS WEDNESDAY. Sheeeee-it. Game on.
Much love,
– C. Payne
