I find that there is a lot of NP strategizing that goes on when I’m deciding how to dress for the weather, how to tackle the Old 96er, or how to leave NP in time to get to work, showered and in my office before 8. I love eavesdropping on conversations at NP as most often they involve some discussion of strategy. From what to eat before a long run, to what shoes you choose for snowy days vs icy days all the way to planning out an entire year’s race calendar and strategizing how to tackle the 50/50 ultra challenge – I learn so much!
Even this morning as we were all tackling the stairs, (great job crushing it this morning tribe!), I’m pretty sure I heard a conversation strategizing on how to take Seamus’ title for the last 28:19 race day of 2017. Can’t wait to see that go down 😉
The other buzz that I hear is about the various strategies that are going into solving the buff contest. Do you list all of the cities and match them up with an icon? Are you starting with the icons and assigning them to cities? Have you been googling NP cities to learn more about them? Are you working with a process of elimination strategy? How are you going about solving this challenge? There’s an amazing prize on the line…can’t wait to see what you all come up with! And no…Nadim cannot be bribed with any amount of cookies!
