There is a wonderful, hilarious, compassionate, strong AF woman in our tribe named Aari Reich. She is a force of good within our community and no morning would be the same without her. Aari has some words to say. Read them.
For someone who tries to get as involved in everything November Project-related as I do, I have an embarrassingly limited amount of neon clothes. So when Maggie told us to wear neon to the workout today, to celebrate our ability to be the bright spot in increasingly dark times, I was at a loss. But something kind of amazing happened when I reached into my dresser this morning- I pulled out the bold purple pants I wore for our #LoveforLiana workout and the red sweatshirt that made its debut at our workout to honor Michelle Jacobsen and her dad. Something about wearing clothes I used when we honored our tribemates in times of personal crises felt special.

The massacre in Vegas left me stunned, speechless, prone to bouts of impromptu tears- and I’m sure I’m far from alone. I #justshowedup to Griffith this morning because I needed you guys—my heart needed to be around the biggest hearts and hugs I could find (also, holding Kevin’s hand while we screlted “I won’t back down” as the bounce helped too). And standing at the top of the Dirty Bitch™ screaming as y’all charged up was a fucking honor, because you guys were giving me everything that my soul was desperately craving and more. Watching you fight through the DB™ and sweat and exhaustion made me feel like I could go into my day and find the good that needed doing (call your reps, give blood, give money) and attack it.

I’m fucking inspired by the ability we have, as a tribe, as a facet of this huge thing that November Project has become (seriously, look at the Harvard Stadium #5ummit Workout picture and let that sink in for a second), to be a force for good. I’m sure you’ve heard someone (Steve, a blog, the book, a buff) say that that NP wants to change the chemistry of our cities (if you haven’t heard that yet, hi! Welcome! And thanks for reading the blog!) and that is 100% true. But let’s take it beyond our cities right now and just throw that love, that inclusiveness and that positivity all over the world- seriously, let’s blanket this motherfucker. Because in times of crisis, we are there for the people in our tribes. And they’re not the only ones that need us right now.

DO GOOD.
Thanks Aari, for everything you are and everything you do. We love you!!!!
