PSA: Don’t stare at the sun, but don’t get duped by phony bologna (odd[er] phrase written than spoken) eclipse glasses peddlers; they’ll getcha, much like this workout did most everyone. Woah! What an ass-kicker. And that humidity, it’ll getcha [it’ll’ve gotcha?] too.

Another much more serious PSA that we failed to mention after the workouts: We try our very best to make this common knowledge, but in an ostensibly more and more tense, dichotomous time, it’s worth reiterating that NP is a group, a movement really, open to anyone willing to make a commitment to bettering him- or herself. This is a machine built on accountability, fueled by consistency, and producing vitality. Neither Shaw nor I are at liberty to use our NP leadership platform to preach our personal views on any subject that isn’t inspirational-workout related. We will, however, stand firmly with NP worldwide in unequivocally condemning hate groups and their detestable views. NP is a movement that prides itself on remaining malleable without bending on core principles. Those vile views run counter to our core principles, namely embrace of diversity through inclusivity. #Justshowup in everything you do.
Workout
It went a little something like this:
Groups of three, with one running an UNO while the other two stay home (home being the north landing) just sitting around bored until The Cat in the Hat shows up and suggests they do 10 partner burpees, 10 plank hops, and 10 leg life toe taps in rapid succession, at least until Mom gets home. Throw in 10 group low-five push-ups when the runner gets back, and BAM!, you’ve got yourself a hell of a workout. Switch runners each time and continue the pattern. A little up-n-around to cool down there at the end.

Notes
- Jaden, you picture-snappin’ dawg; thanks again!
- Friday begins our Tour of Indy as we explore a different Indianapolis park every third Friday of the month. For any fellow history buffs out there, we’ll be visiting these locales in the order the parks were established, and I’ll throw a few significant park-related facts your way at each spot. This Friday the spot is the waterfall in White River State Park, 6a SHARP!

Friday spot - The North Face (“TNF”) is hosting an Endurance Challenge series of races through the hills and valleys of Kettle Moraine State Forest between Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin. A handful of us traveled north to race last year (this is an annual thing), and it was an absolute blast; gorgeous scenery, tasty beers, good people. The Mad-town after-party was a hell of a time too, I might add. This year, as some added incentive, TNF is paying for us to take a van up there if we get enough interest. They’re also throwing in free tent rentals for those interested in camping out. Let Shaw or me know by THIS FRIDAY whether you’re interested in the camping part, and let us know by next Friday if you’re interested in any of the parts.
