Goodness gracious, that felt good.

The Griffith Observatory rules. It’s our home for (at least) the next month and it gave us a very clear promise this morning: that it does. not. fuck. around. There were so many room for activities. That hill is a tough son of a gun. DAT VIEW DOE, RIGHT!? If this morning was any indication of how 2017 is going to go then buckle up, we’re in for a wild ride.

A sincere welcome to our newbies who now feel we’re close enough to try out for the first time… we’ll break you of that soon enough. Hopefully today put you a little out of your comfort zone, but in a way that made you feel like it was actually okay to be there. Maybe the workout was harder than you expected but you pushed through anyhow and were surprised at what you had just accomplished. Maybe you felt out of your skin hugging strangers until the second… or third… or fourth… and you know there was a fifth somewhere in there. We’re taking this new year as a new opportunity to push all of you. To push you physically into new goals and feats you only dreamed possible, and to push you to talk to strangers and make connections with any and everyone you come across in the world.

And of course, Ben and I finally cried uncle (or aunt, in this case?) and went to get some help. Maggie is a stone cold badass who’s idea of fun, as you experienced this morning, is five and a half minutes of planks. She also sweats positivity and embodies that comfort in being uncomfortable mentality like a fucking champ. I’m glad she’s here, I’m glad she’s joining our leadership team, and I’ve never been more convinced that we’re going to dominate this city.
Do great, LA.
