It was so foggy up at the top of Runyon Canyon this morning that you could barely see fifteen feet in front of you. Combine that with the wind and spitting rain, and for the second weekend in a row the tribe got a chance to be #weatherproof. For the second week in a row, they did not disappoint or back down from it.

As we barrel head first through the end of the year to an exciting new year full of untapped potential and frightening unknowns, a few things were solidified for me today: The tribe always shows up and is never defined by its location. The tribe welcomes newbies and random strangers into their ranks without thought or hesitation. Today, tomorrow, and always, the tribe is really fucking strong.

Next Wednesday is our last workout ever at the Hollywood Bowl. If you haven’t seen us in a while and you’re still in town for the holidays, please come and hang out with us. If you’ve never seen us before, get your ass out of bed to say you experienced the OG home of NP LAX in some capacity. Say farewell to a place that has treated us well but has also made it very clear it’s time for us to spread our wings to see what else this city has to offer. I’d be lying to you if I said that didn’t scare the living christ out of me (timely). But I’d also be lying if I said I didn’t have all the trust in the world that the people who make up this movement will continue to fight fiercely for its growth and prosperity. Keep those #byebyebowlie posts coming as well, I haven’t cried nearly enough this week.

Oh, and I had NO IDEA when Hanukkah was this year. Sorry about that, dad.
DO GREAT LA, and stay safe out there this weekend.
