Today was amazing.
Everytime I start to write a blog, the first words that come to my mind are usually “today was amazing.” As I reflect on the morning, it captures everything so perfectly. Often, I end up changing that first sentence or removing it completely. But for today, I’m going to just leave it.
So what makes me always think that “today was amazing?” and why am I going to leave the opening sentence of this blog untouched? Well, there were just so many moments this morning that can warm your heart and the only way to describe them is with the word, amazing.

We are fortunate to have one of the most diverse and welcoming communities you will ever find. November Project is a safe space where you can be whomever you want to be. It is free of judgement. And not because we say so, but because every single person makes the choice to make it a judgement-free zone. Your age, gender, fitness level, beliefs, job, shoe size, passport, and GPA does not matter. And whether you wear under armour, osh kosh, lululemon, or fruit of the loom, the only thing that counts is the spray paint across our chests. We are all united by then kindness, support, and encouragement that exists within us.
I often think of the children of November Project and can’t help but smile. They are are surrounded by people of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and beliefs. Not only do they get to run alongside and interact with these adults, but also, they get to take in all the love, support, and positive energy around them. These children are growing up with a village that is showing them the good that exists in our world.
This morning we were also fortunate to have so many who have served and currently serve our country. They have risked their lives to allow all of this to be possible, and it could not have been more perfect to honour them and everyone else who protect our freedoms. Like I said, today was amazing.
And as we carry on with our day, our weekend, and the rest of our lives, let’s make sure we are spreading that love, support, and positive energy not only to the children and adults we see at November Project, but to everyone that we interact with after 6:45am.
When it seems like everyone is surrounded in darkness, you are the shining light.
And today, we shine brighter than ever before.
Find the Good,
Nadim
