What was your favourite library activity

Storytime and Hide-&-Seek, Cathleen and Nadim’s favourite things to do in a library other than reading, were the inspiration for this morning’s workout. Hmmmm…what if making out between the bookshelves happened to be their favourite non-reading library activity?

Quiet storytime was interesting…rumour has it that there were some pretty creative stories imagined up this chilly morning…I know that my group visited a farm, there was smelly horse poo, princesses that lived in a nice house, something about my pink shoes getting eaten by a cat, and a beautiful figure skater with sparkly skates. It was both a physical and mental test to create the one-word story while a strict librarian (aka Nadim) had us doing situps, squats, speed skaters, and mountain climbers. During that time we also had opportunities to do a few burpees and pushups because our brain function was a little slow (or at least mine was).

Hide-&-Seek library-NP-style had the tribe wall sitting, planking and lunging…if any outsider could guess that we were playing hide-&-seek I’d be astounded. I think the only person who actually hid was Graham who almost missed the picture because he really did hide. Graham…you were considered invisible if you were in the wall sit or plank…you didn’t really need to isolate yourself!

Today was my first official layering challenge. Last week the tribe had their first trials while I was basking in the Mexican sun…comparably I think this morning was considered warm…really -21 Celcius with the windchill is warm? My final count for clothing items this morning was 19! Didn’t break out the polar fleece yet so I have somewhere still to go when we hit badge earning temps. Can’t wait to see more tribe members earn their badges this winter…well maybe I can wait a little longer for those -30 temps.
